Thank you for bringing your expertise to our school. You work very well as a team of instructors. The growing number of parent volunteers spoke to the enthusiasm that the children brought home about the Project CHEF program. The parents were keen to find out what all the excitement was all about!”

Both of my kids are now so much more aware of what they put in their bodies.

Join us on Facebook, Twitter and our blog for updates and news on everything Project CHEF!!

The Project CHEF program began implementation in the winter of 2008. Each year we have expanded our reach and at the conclusion of the 2011-12 school year Project CHEF had reached approximately 5400 children from 78 Vancouver schools and directly involved over 2000 parents and community volunteers.

Although we have had requests for the program from school districts, independent schools and community organizations all across Canada and USA, at present, due to limited funding, we are unable to extend our reach beyond the Vancouver school district.

During the 2012 – 2013 school year Project CHEF will be running for 28 weeks in 14 schools and cooking with approximately 1500 children and 800 parent and community volunteers.

If you are interested in having your Vancouver school participate in Project CHEF, a meeting for interested teachers will be held early in the next school year. There is, however, a waiting list for the program. The number of participating schools will be dependent on funding.
