“It is LEARNING FOR LIFE – the kind of knowledge acquired through this program can translate into raising a healthier population”

- Teacher

"Project CHEF ”is one of the best programs I’ve ever been involved in, in all my years of teaching.”

- Teacher

“My older daughter was fortunate enough to participate in Project CHEF in 2008 and it literally changed our entire family’s approach to cooking. Thanks to Project CHEF all my children know about how to be safe in the kitchen and cook and eat healthy food.”

- Parent

“My Gr.3 daughter had Project CHEF three weeks ago. Since then, she has written a grocery list for the ingredients needed for her recipes, gone to the grocery store then made the meals. She is so excited about being able to cook for us – she even made lunch for guests one day!”

- Parent

"The program gives the kids enthusiasm for food and cooking that is wonderful and has really given them a concept about healthy choices. They are exposed to different ingredients and recipes. It is hands on - my son has been chopping fruits and veggies ever since with pride."

- Parent

"I enjoyed the cutting fruit or veggies part and I enjoyed eating together with the group part."

- Student

"All the food you taught us to make is so good but my favourite was the friendship fruit salad. After you said that breakfast is important, I started to eat breakfast every day."

- Student

Project CHEF is a lived curriculum. The students absorb so much from seeing, doing and tasting. It would be wonderful if every child could experence this program!

- Principal

"Extraordinary program! I learned a lot about how to teach my children how to follow recipes with a minimum of mess and to use tools (knives) safely. I love the nutritional component, promotion of fresh food and local food. Bravo."

- Parent

"It made me rethink what we should eat!!"
